Vibration Sensor

The GEO series vibration sensor offers a surprisingly high sensitivity over a wide frequency range from 4Hz to 1KHz with a natural frequency of 8Hz.

The probe has proved to be especially suitable for detecting vibrations in machinery and electronic circuitry in the workplace (particularly in manufacturing environments) and in monitoring compliance with exposure limits.

In addition to regular monitoring, thanks to their high sensitivity, the probe can also be used as a geofone allowing it to measure ground motion (displacement).

When used in conjunction with our Spectran® 50xx series spectrum analysers and our free PC analyser-software , the entire frequency range covered can be analyzed, monitored and documented. Using the optional mains adapter long-term measurement and recording is easy and convenient to perform.

The vibration sensors are equipped as standard with a 1m SMA cable that allows direct connection to the high-sensitivity signal input of our Spectran® EMC-Analysers.
